Significant remembrance

I know that some of my wishes are / were strange, but I have bee right before! When I graduated from 8th grade in New Jersey, I wanted a tape recorder. In those days @ 1962 , there were only reel to reel recorders. l am sure that this was a big $$ sacrifice for our family, but,I got one and I have never forgotten that. It was a REALLY big thing for them and for me. Ironically,with that recorder, within 6 months, I vividly remember recording the enitre weekend of 11/22/963 when Kennedy was killed in Dallas, TX. It is ironic (again) that years later in 1976, I moved to Dallas, and have been here for the past 30+ years. I love Dallas, but none of us of my age (60) will forget that weekend, nor the announcemt on the PA system at school, the 4 day weekend...............nor will I ever forget mu beloved tape recorder.
