Watching and Listening to "both sides"
Perhaps my favorite person out there today who knows more about politics that most US citizen is Bill Maher. Yes, very liberal, but intelligent, thought provoking and calls it as he sees it. On the flip side, I alway watch Bill O'Reilly. My reasons for doing that is that I believe he has the same approach. OF course, then there are all of the folks in between too. CNN, Lou Dobbs, Chris Matthews etc. My opinion is that if you don't / won't watch BOTH sides of an issue, then you don't get to have an an opinion. Valid opinions are formed only by hearing issues DEBATED, vs. chosing to ignore the other side of an argument and just blindly following. Check out what happens the next time you tell folks about X, Y, Z person that you watch or listen to, and see if anyone says.........." How can you watch that? I won't watch him / her." Hmmmmmm
